BET Awards 2009

So I was trying to refrain from bringing this up. But I couldn't help myself. I have to say that last night's award show was one of the most unorganized and GHETTO ass shows I've ever seen. For the show to be that long (about 3 hours and then some), I have to say that I may have seen 2 acts that were actually worth watching!
It just shows you how talentless these commercial artists are.

Some of you may disagree, I'd love to get your thoughts on last nights show.
I know the Twitter Crowd were going Crazy... I saw alot of funny yet honest comments. Everything from "Michael Jackson is Guns"

to Don Cornelius talking for about 50mins (at least that's how long it seemed to be) and under-aged looking girls on stage with Lil Wayne and Drake.

I don't know what Black Entertainment Television is coming to. And if I saw another promo for Tiny and Toya, I was gonna scream... And why do they have a show again? Please remind me.

I know they had to hustle and grind to put things together since the untimely and sudden death of Michael Jackson...
but come on!!!!!!!

Anyway... what were your thoughts??

Fat Nasty Squirrel Radio?!!!!???

You're probably wondering WHAT THE HELL is Fat Nasty SQUIRREL Radio! Well... I don't even know if I can describe it all to well for you, honestly. It's a random, and I mean RANDOM show about whatever Mickey Dunn & I come up with.
This is the 1st Episode officially. So I really do need your feedback on this one. It's way different from what you hear on Electric Relaxation. And anyone who knows me knows that I like to go outside the box. Well bringing 2 individuals like that together on one show is of course entertaining.

So listen in to the show, answer some of the questions, ask questions, tell me if you hate/love it... etc.!

I present to you, F.N.S.- Fat Nasty Squirrel!

Jaspects in Baltimore- Interview

I hit up Teavolve for a Gypsy Soul event called Ear Candy and was able to interview a wonderful group called Jaspects (interview arranged by: Gypsy Soul). I have to say that it's been a really long time since I've seen a real band perform with great showmanship! They gave a great performance with songs from their album: The Polkadotted Stripe.
They also did some very familiar covers that kept the crowd going. You can listen to the interview and hear some tracks from the album. But honestly their's no reason why you shouldn't buy this one.

Be sure to leave your comments here to let me know what you think of them.
You can visit their MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/jaspects

Afram: African American Heritage Festival 2009 in Baltimore

Coming soon the weekend of 4th of July. I'm looking forward to the musical line up. With artist such as: Anita Baker, En Vogue (finally they're back), Teena Marie, Chub Rock, Rob Base, Raheem DaVaughn, Tony Toni Tone, Laura Izibor, Eric Roberson and Anthony David. Of course, that's not the entire line up. Check out the site to see who else will be there.
Although I have to say I was caught off gaurd, this year it's $5 to get in. Just to give you a heads up. But still, that's nothing with all the artists that will be there. If you haven't been, it's a great family event to attend. I know I'll be there, hopefully we wont get rained out like last year.

Fly Gypsy video "You"

This video gets two thumbs up. The song "You" is awesome and then the video is of my favorite movie, Brown Sugar. The fly guys of Fly Gypsy are making moves, so you better watch out. I've known Brotha Komplex for some years now, so I can only imagine what creative flare he and Alexei will be bringing to the table for us.

Check out the video and leave your feedback. And don't worry the interview will be coming soon enough.
