Outkast- Chronometrophobia
You gotta love the movie Idlewild, it's been a while since I've been captivated by a musical. And Big Boi & Andre 3000 don't disappoint us with their work. The soundtrack for the movie is a great album to have in your collection. This happens to be one of my fav's off of it.

Jaspects- Falling
I had the opportunity to interview this band and I was able to see them perform (check the archives for this interview). It's rare we come across real musicians anymore. And this group definitely does a great job at blending jazz, soul & hip hop together to make some excellent & clean cuts.

Miguel- Sure Thing
Every song that I hear from this guy, I've liked. Here's someone who knows how to make GOOD MUSIC! Seriously. And this was the first song that I heard from him and it's my favorite. I have yet to become tired of hearing it.

Wale- Pretty Girls
Probably one of the best artists to come out of the DMV area in a good while. I'm happy to see someone who's been able to blend GoGo into mainstream music. His current & freshmen album, Attention Deficit, is getting a lot of attention in the streets. So far, people are definitely feeling his message.

Hardwerk & Jansport J- High Power Moves

You gotta get that High Power Moves album!

These guys have been making some noise around the west coast. I actually had the oppurtunity to meet Jansport J after a show over the summer, and he's a real chill guy.
The beats are hitting hard and the lyrics follow right along with them. You'll definitely find some tracks on here for your taste. They teamed up with my boy El Prez on the track That Spliff and it's really getting alot of recognition. I've got some other favorites on there like Gremlins & Fly As Me!

Check out the video here of the guys talking about the project:

Greenspan- Poetry In Motion
Baltimore's own, Greenspan is extra smooth on this track. I'm digging the production work with this one. Got Green? is what you need to check out to get up on who Greenspan is.

Supe- The Ooo Yeah Package

Often people ask me who in Baltimore is making some good noise... where here's a project show casing just that. @Mr.Supe, as he's known on Twitter, is a Baltimore native who's now in ATL. But he hasn't forgotten where he comes from. He's got a bunch of collaborations on this project like: Smash, 100 Grandman & JD. And he also teamed up with some local producers such as Ace Boogie. Check out the DOPE ass beats and rhymes on this one.

I can honestly say there's something on here for everyone. They've got a great variety on this project. I'm looking forward to seeing what The Love Meds will come up with next!!

Featured Artist Friday: Nov. 13

The Knux- Roxxanne
I like the Knux, I think they aren't getting the attention that they deserve. This was one of my favorite tracks off their last album Remind Me in 3 Days

Diz Gibran- New Religion
What can I say about Dizzy other than this guy is the TRUTH. This is probably a real controversial track of his, but I'm glad he made it. I know alot of people who can relate to it. And more artists need to take time out to make music like this.

Madlib- Slim's Return
It's a CLASSIC... what else needs to be said.

Brittany Bosco- City of Nowhere
As most of you already know, I'm a new fan of Ms. Bosco. Spectrum 2.0 is so ill! You have to check this out if you haven't done so.

Royce Da 5'9 ft. Busta- Dinner Time
Even though Busta is my FAVORITE MC of all time... I was feeling this track. And I've been paying attention to Royce Da 5'9 for some time now. So I like where they went with this one.

Soul Cannon- Dilapidated Buildings
Shout out to A Baltimore Love Thing for putting me onto to this band from their mixtape. It's one of the early tracks on that project and I see why. It's a really heart felt song and the music is serious. You gotta love a real band, we don't have enough these days. I was digging this track since day one and I'm still blasting it in my car as I drive around Baltimore.

The Clipse ft. Bilal- Nightmares
I always thought this was an interesting combination with The Clipse and Bilal. I'm a huge fan of Bilal, and I love flow of The Clipse. So I feel like this song really got slept on.

Amerie- Heard Em All
Amerie is trying to make her comeback, but I feel like she isn't being appreciated as she should. They have this video in rotation but she just isn't getting a heavy push from the media as I think she should.

DANK- My Planet
I saw these guys perform at Always Dope this week and this song kinda reminds me of Hollyweerd. I like the feel of it! I'm looking forward to seeing what else I'll be hearing from this group. Baltimore is making moves!!

AS Always I want to hear your feed back as well. Be sure to leave your comments... other wise, how will I know??
