So Catalina Byrd told me about this artist this week on her radio show. And of course I had to check him out. Here are a few videos that I found on him. Let me know your thoughts.
YahZarah has a NEW fun filled and colorful video out for her latest single. You can tell her and the Foreign Exchange FAM had lots of fun making this one with their retro appeal to this song. Check it out and let us know what you think!
I had been waiting to get some new music from this Producer / Emcee / Musician... and it's finally here! This cat is SICK with his beats and talent. I love when the DMV can be proud of our artists out here. Be sure to check out this 21 tracked project featuring local artists such as: J soul, Sean Price, Wade Waters and of course Sean-Toure' himself.
The selected tracks on this mixtape show what a variety his production skills consist of. It's been a while since we've had a project that had a soulful, funk and laid back presence to it. Listen to it and then of COURSE you're going to want to DOWNLOAD IT!
I always like to see what's going on with one of my favorite blogs, Hip Hop At Lunch. And lately, they did a new interview with the hip hop duo Chidy Bang. I was diggin their video for their single Pass Out. Check it out:
I’ve been listening to this mixtape ALL WEEK long! Pac Div has not lost their touch. It’s a good variety on this project. They didn’t over do it in any direction. They’re most recent single Rollin (ft. Ty$), that’s been in rotation on satellite radio, is on this mixtape. Birds, Broccoli and Waves At The Prom are probably my favorite tracks on this one. And of course Don’t Forget the Swishers (ft. Dom Kennedy, cARTER, & Chip Tha Ripper) goes so hard! Quite frankly you can listen to this all the way through.
Check out some newness from DMV producer Judah with DubMD. A collective group of 7 artists consisting of: Laelo Hood, Sic Osyrus, Dominique Larue, Singapore Kane, Junclassic, Mr. Live and Sha Stimuli. The project is due to drop this summer. Can’t wait to see what else they’ll have for us.
This Kat is killin it on his NEW mixtape that just dropped this month called Well Grounded. By way of New Orleans and making his mark in Baltimore, he's got a sick flow that has to be recognized. You've seen posts on here of his videos leading up to this project. But to refresh your memory check this out:
Check out some of my favorite tracks on this project: Rollin, Tallulah ("some of that smooth jazz shit" lol) and Hot Shit (Prod. by my homie Ace Boogie). I do but I don't want to be the one to say "I told you so" Lol! Expect to see great things from this guy.
Baltimores' FemC KEYS is stepping up to the plate to knock Nicki Minaj out the park! Her first webcam video on youtube got a lot of attention, now she's got an official video out for it. With quite a few Charm City cameos.
This is definitely 4/20 theme music, I know a lot of people were lightin' up to this mixtape! Wiz is known for his Pro-Smoke lyrics, the mixtape is real chill and humorous. It's great for a chill session.
